The EVO1 Crossover is the ultimate ice fishing shelter for one person. By replacing bulky metal poles with fiberglass, this shelter keeps weight to a minimum and makes it easy to transport. With the extra headroom where you need it, setting a hook inside your shack has never been easier. The crossover also features 300 Denier IceTight fabric with a 59% higher thread count than comparable shelters. This higher thread count results in a tighter weave, and provides the wind and watertight performance that Eskimo is known for. That’s at an average weight savings of up to 19% over most competitors! By incorporating the durable hubs from our pop-up shelters, the EVO1 offers 19.5 square feet of fishable area.
The EVO2 is a 2-person crossover shelter with 34 square feet of fishable area. The unique aerodynamic shape of the EVO allows the venting system to trap heat low in the shelter and force wind to flow smoothly around the outside—eliminating noisy flapping of the skin during windy days. Its self-tapping ice anchors are easier to grip and won’t bend under pressure. The EVO2 also features two oversized side doors, making it easy to move yourself and all your ice fishing gear in and out of the shelter. The side position of the door allows you to enter and exit without having to step over your holes. In addition the extra large windows and coverings on the EVO let you control the amount of light in the shelter and give you visibility to all parts of the ice without having to leave your seat.
Crossover shelters offer the convenience of a flip-style shelter, with the room and comfort of a pop-up. Compared to similar sized flip-style shelters, the crossover offers more fishable area and functional space, providing plenty of maneuverability and room for your ice fishing gear. The aerodynamic shape of the crossover shelters cuts through the wind, allowing cold air to pass around the shelter and helping the venting system heat the shelter efficiently. With more fishable area, lightweight features, better materials and extra height, the Crossover shelter is truly a breakthrough for the ice fishing industry.
The mixture of thread weight and thread count will determine your fabric performance. Eskimo IceTight fabric features a 59% higher thread count than competitor shelters, resulting in a much tighter weave. IceTight is coated to be completely wind and waterproof, and is overall 19% lighter than competitor shelter skins.
Insulated fabric provides warmth inside your shelter so you can fish even on the harshest of days. IQ Insulated Quilted Fabric consists of two layers of IceTight fabric that sandwich together a layer of insulation material, providing superior protection from even the coldest conditions.
Eskimo is committed to quality, and that’s why YKK® zippers come standard on all Eskimo ice shelters. Zippers can be problematic, performing well in the store, but freezing and breaking out on the ice. YKK® zippers are industry leading, rugged and reliable—just like an Eskimo ice shelter.
Eskimo ice anchors are widely known for their ease of use and tight-holding grip. Large mitten grip handles allow you to secure your shelter without needless exposure to the elements, and these durable steel-constructed anchors are self-tapping, easily screwing into the ice by hand with their sharp point.
